On a recent trip to Missouri, we were fascinated by the extent of the Lake of the Ozarks, created by impounding the Osage river and resulting in the largest man-made lake in the Midwestern United States.
We visited Bagnell Dam and read about the history of the impressive structure (Constructed by Union Electric Company, and completed in 1931) while walking around a pretty hilltop park.
As it was close to lunch time, we decided to eat at one of the many restaurants advertising incredible lake views, and chose JB Hooks. The view was lovely and I enjoyed the range of appetizers my daughter and I chose as our meal.
