We arrived home from vacation late on a Friday afternoon, and after unpacking and putting on a load of laundry, it was time to mix a Laddie’s Sub Bourbon cocktail, and think about and start to prepare dinner. Even though I had cleaned out the refrigerator before we left, leaving the bare minimum chilling, I found enough ingredients between the fridge and pantry to make a large, heartening pot of tomato soup, infused with fresh marjoram and thyme.
LADDIE’S SUB BOURBON
1 1/2 ounces bourbon
1 dash orange curacao
5 drops angostura bitters
Pour over ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass. Top with club soda.
