We invited friends over for light appetizers and cocktails early one evening. I set out cheeses, fruit and crackers and a selection of bright and vibrant vegetables alongside a delicious Buttermilk Herb Dip, for quick and easy entertaining.
BUTTERMILK HERB DIP WITH CRUDITES
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup chopped chives
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
In a bowl, whisk the yogurt, sour cream, lemon juice, buttermilk, chives, dill, parsley, salt and pepper. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours to let flavors develop. Serve with assorted crudités.
