CHINESE ALMOND COOKIES
1 stick butter
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
sliced almonds
Heat oven to 350F.
Mix butter into dry ingredients. Add egg and extracts and blend well. Scoop 1-inch balls onto cookie sheets. Top each with a sliced almond.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
